Pear and Broccoli Green Juice Recipe
This pear and broccoli green juice recipe is not only healthy but sweet and tasty! A great way to sneak broccoli into your diet.
So many people don’t like broccoli. I feel like it’s one of those things. You either love it or your hate it! I personally love broccoli, always have. My grandpa happens to be one of the haters of broccoli. We always hear the story from my mother-in-law about how when she was a kid and there was broccoli for dinner, her dad (grandpa) wouldn’t eat it and would say, “I don’t call it broccoli, I call it Yucky!” If you are one of those broccoli haters like my grandpa, let me attempt to change your mind with these 43 Science Backed Health Benefits of Broccoli.
Well grandpa was in for a surprise with this pear and broccoli green juice recipe, let me tell you! Ryan, my husband, and I were staying with grandma and grandpa for a short time last spring before we got married. We were juicing a lot during that time…you know…trying to fit into my wedding dress! Anyways, knowing that grandpa didn’t like broccoli, one day “made too much” of this juice and offered to him. I obviously didn’t tell him what was in it! Long story short: he drank it, he liked it, and he never knew that there was broccoli in it!
- 2 Cups Spinach
- 3 Pears
- 1 Small Head Broccoli
- 1 Cucumber
- 1 Lemon
- 1” Ginger Root
- Chop cucumber into ½ thick rounds, chop pear into chunks (removing the stem and core), chop broccoli into pieces, remove lemon rind and cut lemon in half.
- Juice all ingredients. Any juice you have will do, but we recommend a masticating juicer, if possible for longer shelf-life.
- After juiced, mix well and serve.
